ITS FAIR TIME AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

This time instead of a horse show its a goat show! I was in the goat barn most of the time! but a couple times my trainer's dad (since my trainer was showing goats with all of her siblings) took me to see some shows. One time I was laying down with my trainer (yes "in" the goat barn!) When a working guide dog was walking by and stopped to say hello. That Lab was only 16-17 months old (well she just finished her training) but since I was in my coat I could not play!! I didn't find out what school she came from, since my trainer had to go wash some goats and I had to go to.

Sorry but I can't find the photos I got.

IT'S THE FAIR!!!

There are 3 good things about the fair: 1: Food, 2: Kids, 3: Animals, and... well there are 3 bad things about the fair. 1: I can't eat the food, 2: The kids can't pet me, 3: I am in uniform so I can't play with animals. I have been to the fair morning and night for 5 days!!! I wouldn't mind too much but... I can't get the meat, popcorn, candy, drinks, fries, and everything else the fair serves. But the reason I am up there twice a day is because my trainer is showing horses! She was at the fair AGAIN today and I had to sit "in" the horse stall (which was her storage stall) for 4 hours!

She was washing and grooming her horse because the show was that day. Now I wasn't really alone, either my trainer or her sister, or even her dad would take turns sitting with me and visiting. All the fair visitors would peek inside my stall and thought I was the best horse there!

When she was finally ready the show was about to start and I had to go with her mom! I don't think I would have been able to go in the show ring (but it was a good idea!) My trainer was against 6 other people and her horse got third, then in showmanship she was against 8 people and got fourth. Don't forget to look at Fair photos (and leave a comment).

Fair photos

Me watching kids show goats

Me at the bee booth (guarding it!!!!)

Me in the (well I think you can guess!) the storage stall, between our two horses.

Me watching the horse show (my trainer is in there to)

Now I can say that I have been exposed to bears!

Have you ever been to a fair? Did you ever have to sit in a storage stall for four hours? Or not been able to eat the "yummy" fair food? Tell me by leaving a comment!!!

Note: The comments are screened before they are posted. That's why they don't show up right away.

Graduate School - When do I go back?

As some of you people have noticed on my older posts it said I will be going IFT sometime in October. But since then my trainer has asked our AC and she said they have now changed it to the end of January or even as late as the end of February. When it gets closer to the time I can let you know the exact date. Right know I am 15 and a half months old! The reason they have changed the date (which they have done to all of the dogs) is because all the dogs are coming IFT and they are still way to "puppyish". So now they are adding a couple months on to the training for the puppy raisers. But if I was going to be going back in October, it would have been the first 2 weeks! ...which means I might be gone know!!!

I am still trying to figure out what I am going to do about the next dog, doing my blog or starting its own? Maybe my trainer can keep my blog updated even when she'd doing a new one. Oh, I know, wouldn't it be great if my new blind owner could keep my blog up? If you guys have any ideas leave me a commment!

Thanks

Airport meeting

Hi guys!

My friend just reminded me that I forgot to leave a post on the airport meeting I went to a couple of weeks ago.

We went to the airport and instead of walking around the "inside" of the airport, like last year, we got to go in to the hanger (like a garage for an airplane). They even let us board an airplane. (Me and a friend got first class half the time!) Make sure you look at airport meeting photos they are great!

My trainer reads your comments too me, so thanks for leaving them,

Hope's pictures

My friend (who just happens to be a "real" working dog) actually has an owner. (yes she is blind). Well you see my trainer's mom helped my friend's owner take pictures. She told her how to hold the camera and where the buttons are. She said things like "point it more to the left" or "hold the camera more level, don't let it point toward the ground". A couple of the shots are dark (but it doesn't matter). Hope says they aren't too dark for her!

BTW, my trainer wanted me to tell you why she does put words beside the picture, even though you can see it and tell what we are doing. The reason is... since my trainer's friend is blind that means she can't she the pictures, but she CAN have her computer read out loud the little captions for each picture .

this one is a little dark
(but I am in it! See me with my trainer?)
This on is not dark but is a little sideways, and all of us dogs, and trainers too, are way off to the left.

This one has a little of me in it and my owner is only half in it!

This is a good one of us looking at the balls as they roll by, and sometimes bounce. Some of my buddies were really tempted, but I stayed perfectly still and ignored them.

Muffin, aren't you proud of your owners photography skills!
