We picked up Rudy at 9pm, he is the sweetest and calmest pup (for now) that I know!
We found out that he's not just black... his real color is: A Black AND tan puppy.... which means?
He has "a little bit" of tan markings on his legs!
He did wonderfully in the crate last night - a little bit of crying, but soon realized it doesn't get him anywhere.

I will give a real update on Rudy (with lots of pictures) soon - but for now enjoy the couple taken last night/this morning!
P.S. Rudy feels very sad that NOT A SINGLE blogger guesses his name :( But you guys did have some great guesses!

OMG!!! He is going to be big and adoraable! So he has a wee bit of chocolate in there :) I wish schools would use chocolates but they don't. Just too cute for words
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable!!!! Just an FIY he is not a true black and tan that would look like a Rottie or a Dobe. He is what is called splashed. It is a geneic mutation of the color alleles and occurs in labradors, not sure about goldens. Not that it matters He's as cute as can be! Can't wait to hear more from our little Rudy. :)

ReplyDeleteAnother note- I don't think he's black and tan. I think he's genetically tan pointed but also carrying the gene for brindle, which occurs in labs but rarely. He COULD be splashed tan but I doubt it- too much coverage and it's too irregular. VERY interesting!
