One of my lucky readers will win a Hands Free Waist Leash from Lucky Paws shop.
But first... a furry cool review of this awesome leash/shop...
My raiser received the leash in the mail a couple days ago - but was waiting to do the post; 'til after our Holiday Contest had ended (due to being quite busy with picking winners). Now that the contest is over... it's time for a leash review AND GIVEAWAY.
My first impression:
It smells AMAZING! Though I guess you guys don't care for that kind of review... :)
My raiser was eager to do this; as she thought it would be a great leash for us to review. As my raiser does lots of walking/running - and takes me with her sometimes... (I'm only allowed 2 miles with her though - she does the rest without me).
She loves how you can use it around your waist WITHOUT hands - OR turn it into a regular dog leash in seconds; that's 2 in 1! End up changing your mind about using the leash around your waist? No worries - as it works PERFECTLY as a regular leash (my raiser & I tested it out both ways - she says it's quite comfy/soft with your hands too!)
And it comes in many furry cool colors.
(Our pictures/videos with the leash we reviewed are on the bottom of this post)
Of course this isn't something I'd be allowed to use in town while working; but my raiser will be using this for our "daily" walks/runs. And may use it as a regular leash around town too.
A few words from my raiser:
Hey furry followers!
Hope you don't mind us throwing in some reviews/giveaways on this blog - as it's not really part of Rudy's guide dog training. BUT we get to try some cool things AND sometimes so do you!
This time we are doing a review AND giveaway as Lucky Paws has kindly offered one of our readers their very own leash!
I've had great contact with the lady - responds quite quickly. This lady is not only a dog leash/collar seller - she is also a certified dog trainer. feel free to read about her; she's an awesome person to get to know!
I have taken Rudy outside; and used this leash as a regular dog leash - and with it around my waist. It is a very nice/comfy leash to use in your hands - but it also works wonderful around your waist. I will be working Rudy some over the next couple weeks - for pulling purposes while on this leash - but he is doing quite well; and slowly understanding the point of walking calmly on leash! I do hope this leash will help him learn that any type of leash or walk we are on - doesn't mean you have to pull!
If you are interested in learning more about her products - go ahead and stop by - She sells items on her website and on Etsy).
I'd like to thank Heather & Lucky Paws for letting us review this leash - I'm very happy with it; great quality too! Read rules below - if you'd like to enter the giveaway
Back to Rudy:

Dear Rudy, I just wanted to stop by and wish you and your trainer a very merry Christmas and lots of good things to eat ;-)
Your pal,
Gizzy (and mommy)
Wowee, we would love to win this leash! Thanks for having the pawsome giveaway.

We are followers of your blog!
On the Lucky Paws website I learned that they offer lots of great services to help train your dog.
We really like the convertability feature. The fact that it goes from waist to hand leash easily makes it a great leash.
From their Etsy shop we are partial to the teal & brown striped collar.
Whoops... I just realized I commented on the wrong post! *blush*
This is a cool leash! Would love to own it!
We love following your blog!
I was excited to see the girl Heather be so committed to training dogs... but also have a wonderful selection of leashes, collars and harnesses!
I think the thing I love most is how the leash can be adjusted to what distance you prefer to have the dog walk in front of you. Very cool.
Love the teal and brown collar... but the orange and white stars are too cute! Too hard to pick one!
I am all over this action. I think the entertainment value alone of seeing PeeWee tug momma around by the waist would be way cool.
Slobbers,
Mango
I went to that web site and you know what I learned? That their collars don't come in 30" mastiff size. Boo hoo.
Slobbers,
Mango
Well, you know I read about the hands free leash and I am not sure that I learned anything that you didn't already tell me, but I did notice that it does not tell me what size human hips it goes around. Gosh, momma's jolly bottom is big enough, but once she gets all her winter clothing on, she is HUGE so I hope it fits when I win it. Hehehe.
Slobbers,
Mango
I saw lots of nice looking gear on that web site, but I suppose I will have to be big about this and choose one that I would like for the Pea. I think the pink and purple winter dog buckle collar would compliment his black furs nicely.
Slobbers,
Mango
That's khwite khool!
And if I should happen to win, I would paw it on to Mango fur Pea -
I want to see his DOH and Pea do this!

Dear Rudy,
Dembre and I would like to enter your give away! Hands free leashes are very helpful and effective!
Thanks,
Elijah & Dembre
Oh could I wear this leash around my waist and walk the kitties?? BOL.

and we are back in to the blogging ^^

This is an awesome leash. Rocco and I have seen some one in our neighbourhood walking with one and we think it's so cool. It would be great to win it. :D
~Erin and Rocco
Rocco and I follow your blog and we love reading about your adventures!
Rocco and I learned that they offer four different training courses for doggies in the Twin city area.
From the etsy shop I'd love the Bubbles Martingale Collar.
My favourite thing about the hands off leash is that I could run with my dog Arwen so much easier because I wouldn't have to worry about holding onto the leash. :) So the fact that it's a "No Hands" leash is my favourite thing.
Hey Mango,
Guess what! Collars can be custom made for a big fellow like Mango. The waist portion can be adjusted to essentially the entire leash, but in that case you would need a very tall dog (looks like your in luck there). It may not work for a larger person with a very short dog, but hey I can only make it so versatile :). If need be, I could even add an extra foot or so of webbing to make it work.
We've followed your blog!
We went to Lucky Paws Website and learnt that they offer lots of training for those who don't have time to take care of their dog, or need help in sorting behavioural problems. They also sell awesome products!!
From the Etsy shop, we'd love either an awesome Waist leash (raspberry in colour)or a small size pink and purple winter collar!!!!
My favourite feature of the hands free waist leash is that I can get a dog to heel next to me yet not have to hold the leash, therefore, i have more space in my hands to walk and control the other dog (i.e. naughty Eva!)
Woopsies! Looks like I missed commenting on the first comment!
I just would like to say that I really respect guide dogs in training. I think they need to be really stable in their temperament and obedience and I hope you get to work for someone when you're older!
Thanks for dropping by at our blog and I hope to be friends!!
Merry Christmas to you and have a great year ahead!!!
This is really cool. We are new followers of your blog. HoundDogMom
We learned all about training dogs from the website, something we could use terrible. HoundDogMom
On etsy cleo really likes the Pink Jungles Dog Collar. So pretty. The HoundDogs
The favorite feature we like is Mom's hands will be free to operate the camera. That means more pictures for the blog. We found this very interesting since we seen The Thundering Herd use this. HoundDogMom
