Duchess says...

Hey guys!
Did you miss me? Seems like my handler has been HOGGING the blog lately :( Sorry about that, I'll have a "little" talk with her soon...
My handler got the letter in the mail yesterday... from SEGDI (the guide dog school). Which means the "IFT" date is official... Toby, Rocky, Spike, Cassie, & I WILL be leaving next month down to FL, and WON'T be coming back.
But I'm told we will have LOTS OF FUN!!

On to other stuff -
My handler has been busy trying to expose me to many things. I think the goose is scary, it looks at me with a "odd" face. And when my handler showed me the horses... well, let's just say. It wasn't pretty... "Those things" are BIG.

My handler has gotten many good comments on how well I behave in town! I have even attended a 1 hour YMCA class. All my handler did though was "dance" to music, and I was stuck doing a 1 hour down-stay, that was sure hard.
She was afraid I wouldn't stay that long, but I proved her wrong. I wanted to be just like Toby! (he attends 3 one hour YMCA classes EACH week!).

Enjoy the pictures & videos down below.

I'm going to finish having a "Freaky Friday". I heard something about my handler introducing me to a HORSE! I thought it looked big enough on the other side of the fence... now I have to MEET IT!
Wish me luck.

(Movie of Duchess watching "Zumba", the 1 hour class at the YMCA. She was laying down in coat, but behaved quite well)
(Movie of Duchess meeting "Milo" the pig. Right after this movie was taken... she pulled her collar off & ran back to the house - I tightened her collar up a little more after that!)

Rocky tried to eat his letter. I told him he still had to go even if he ate it. They will have a blast down there. They are going back with 12 other dogs, 9 goladors and 3 aussies. The will be the babies of the group, but they have a lot to show for their age.

To Florida? Furever? I know you will be missed - I sure have the utmost respect for your abilities and also those of your handler - wow - a 1 hour down/stay? I have trouble with the 3 minute ones for obedience!

Best of luck to you on your journey! Pigs are scary. I'd run back to the house, too!

Duchess, did you really mean a horse or did you mean the pig. If it's a horse and a pig, we can help with the horse part. We hand out at a horse barn all the time

Hey! That is how my momma does her aerobics (laying down in her comfy chair and watching the exercise channel - hehehe). That piggie did look fierce. How ever will you keep your cool with a big old horse. Oh, wait a minute, you have already met Liberty.

Kisses,
Dexter

Duchess, best of luck with the horse! But we meet horses every other day and we have to say they are very nice (if very big!)

take care
