(pictures of me WITH the baby goat... coming soon!)
My raiser has 2 more goats due next week... lots of new play pals!
For those of you who are just checking out this blog WELCOME!
This blog follows the life of a guide dog in training.
I raise guide dogs for the blind out of Southeastern Guide Dogs in Palmetto FL (http://www.guidedogs.org/).
The past dogs I've raised are: Brax, Frankie, Toby & Rudy (click the links under the header picture to read more about each one).
I'm currently raising my 5th guide dog puppy "Brandon"
(male yellow Lab - D.O.B. 9-4-11), who I recived on October 30th 2011.
I will keep Brandon for about 12-16 months, then he'll head
IFT (In For Training) back to the guide dog school for 6-8 months of training (plus evaulations) with "professinal" trainers and hopefully will then graduate with a blind person. *Please note though, that only 1 out of every 12 dogs will get "Carrer Changed" due to medical/training issues* I do currently have a guide dog puppy down at the guide dog school (Rudy) who is in "phase 3" (last phase of training) and will hopefully get placed with a blind person soon.
Please feel free to follow -
"Brandon's Life... As a Guide Dog In Training"
Enjoy!

Oooh baby goats, how fun!!! The farmstead near our house has a pen where the little bipeds can go in and bottle feed the little ones when they are a few weeks older.

Grammy just LOVES goats and she thinks the babies are just totally adorable! Grandma OC isn't really crazy about goats as it was a mean one that crushed her hips against a wall and that's why she has so many problems now. Auntie Sadie says that she used to love working around the goats Grammy had and putting them where Grammy needed them. They were all gone by the time we came around... :(
Sounds like you will have a lot of fun playing with them. The CC Pups
@ days old?? They look like they are ready to chew everything to pieces and butt heads with you Rudy!! Better look out!!
Your blog needs a click spot for CUTE!
Congratulations to your raiser, Rudy!

So cute that it justifies keeping one paw on the shift key!
My momma will die of cuteness overload when I show this to her.

Little goats are sooo cute! Our Mom loves to feed them with bottles. Come to think of it, she used to love to feed us with bottles.
