Happy New Years!

Hello 2012!
I have been so furry busy, that I've yet to do a post about the New Year, I can't believe that!
Wanna know what I've been "so busy" with??
I got to spend the last week with my raiser's AWESOME friends who are in a different state, and we all enjoyed celebrating the New Year together!
I had such a good time with them, and though my raiser made me spend some of the time in the crate, I did enjoy my week. The family has an older male yellow lab, who would "sometimes" play with me, but I think that at times, he got annoyed with my "cute puppy look"...
My raiser's friends were soo fun to hang out with, and spent (almost) every second with me!
We all went out together to watch the movie War Horse while we were visiting with the friends, my raiser said it was a great movie, but I wouldn't know... since I slept through the entire movie! (which my raiser was quite proud about!).

On to the New Year stuff though...
I had a WONDERFUL 2011, the main highlight was the fact that...
* I was BORN in 2011
A few other things about 2011
* I had my first Christmas
* My raiser took me on lots of outings
* Meeting new people

A few goals for this year:
* Keep up with blogging regularly
* Reach over 350 followers (current: 322)
* Have more comments per post
* Keep an open mind when my raiser tries to teach me new things

Furry thanks to my raiser's wonderful friends, for letting us spend the New Year with you guys, we had a blast - and it wouldn't have been near as fun without you!
Our guide dog group's "New Years Party" will be this Saturday, I'm looking forward to more partying...

Last picture of Brandon for 2011! (picture of Brandon in a sit-stay with glowing eyes)!

I just wish my raiser would tell me WHERE we are suppose to be sitting in the movie theater...

I got to spend lots of time like this...

And the other dog (Woody) NEVER got locked up...

But my raiser's friends did make sure to spend LOTS of furry fun time with me!

And (at times) I was able to spend time with the other dog Woody...

My raiser said I wasn't able to have any french fries from McDonald's!

New Year's Party... for our Guide Dog Group

Last Saturday was our furry awesome New Year's Party with the guide dog group.
It was AMAZING - all but 1 pup showed up, and we also had some "older" dogs come (some that graduated from the guide dog school - and are in the breeder program, or got Career changed due to allergies). So it was a very "dog" crowded place!
I also got to meet the newest pups to our group: "Hedy", "Happy", "Waffles" & "Judy", which are all so furry cute!
My last puppy sitter (who currently is raising Waffles) was there - and my raiser was so surprised that I cared more about the lady - then I did about her puppy "Waffles"!
Which isn't normal... because I'm really dog distracted! Guess I just really like my sitters!
We did obedience before sitting down to eat - and I did PERFECT with my commands, getting them all correct right on the dot. When we did the puppy swap (all raisers trade puppies) my raiser ended up with "Happy" one of the new pups. And after I calmed down, I did pretty good with the raiser who was working me.
We did the awards/gifts before we ate - and I was given this HUGE baggy with cool things in it. One of which was a awesome water bottle toy (pictured somewhere below) that I love.
My raiser handed out SEGDI puppy raiser bumper magnetics that she designed to all the current puppy raisers. (Thanks to Build a Sign - as they donated all those to me for free!). The puppy raisers LOVED them, and our AC thinks the school may be interested in them too :)
Once the people finished eating - all the dogs were given doggy cake, which was amazing - we took a group picture (and some pictures of my brother "Al" & I together), then it was time to leave.
I really hope you guys enjoy the pictures & movies below!
I'm off to go eat some snow :)

*Btw - if you didn't see the post my raiser did yesterday, it gives out ALL the info we have on her last dog Toby. And tells you what career he chose to take. So make sure to check it out - as he's got a fun filled life ahead of him!*

Happy (almost) New Years!! *and 2011 goals!*

I hope all my furry awesome followers have a very Happy New Year!
2010 was a GREAT year for me, to start off with...
1. I was BORN this year :)

3. I started training to become a guide dog this year, and... I met all of YOU guys!
Hope all of you had a furry cool 2010 like I did!
Now for my 2011 goals:
What, dogs have goals?
Yep! My raiser let Toby (her last guide dog puppy) come up with some goals he'd like to reach before heading back down to the guide dog school. So I decided I want to come up with some "goals" too.
I'd like to "reach" them before I head to the school for future training (date unknown; but will be after May 2011).

Rudy's 2011 Goals:
1. Have over 300 followers on my blog (current: 233 followers)
2. Get more comments on my blog posts (normal around 5/12 per post - would like 15/20 per post)
3. Continue posting often
4. Do very well with training and obey my furry cool raiser
5. Hold more giveaways on my blog for YOU guys!
(Updates on my goals will be posted later on in 2011)

Fur now I hope ALL OF YOU enjoy New Year's Eve and have a very Happy New Years!
Many updates coming in 2011 :)
Furry last 2010 kisses,

Wow, 2010!

Hey everybody!
I hope you guys are having a pawsome 2010:)
I sure am!

I have now chewed up every new dog toy that I got for Christmas, besides the stainless steel bowl, and I'm very proud of myself.

(Picture of Toby tearing up a toy- with stuffing laying beside it)

I am enjoying the cold outside, it means my trainer now does my obedience training inside more than outside!
I'm also quite happy about getting pills for the medical issues I've been having - as my trainer dips them in peanut butter! (which is a dogs BEST friend). I should be off my antibiotics in about 1 week.

My trainer's sister had a friend over, so they all had a slumber party, and pulled out their sleeping bags, then when they went to bed I got locked in the crate!!

Please enjoy the pictures of how I spent MY New Years:)
(You may notice that in ALL the pictures I am on someone else's bed- aka human sleeping bags, which are quite comfy!)

I killed the cat... (and Happy New Years!)

"I killed the cat"
No really I did!

As I mentioned in the last post about my trainer being "after Christmas busy", this is the story of WHY my trainer was Christmas busy...

"It was a dark and stormy ni..."
Wait that sounds to odd, what about "The day was coming to a end when Tob..." that is defiantly wrong.

Oh, I got it!

My trainer just finished her animal chores for the evening, and was coming back in to the nice warm house. She then remembered she had 1 more thing to put away and turned around to go back outside. Right after closing the door she heard screaming... Of course she quickly turned around and opened the door to find out the CHRISTMAS TREE was not up anymore. She then heard someone saying "Toby didn't realize his tail was caught..." She quickly went outside and put away the items, then rushed back in to find out what was the matter.

All for her to find out that I knocked down the Christmas tree:( She finally got the whole story, and found out that I was playing with my toy beside the Christmas tree when somehow my tail got tangled up with the lights, I freaked and ran. Which of course means I dragged the Christmas tree down to the ground.
(Sorry no pictures were gotten during the destruction of the tree, as my trainer was too busy with broken glass, and excited/terrorized puppies)
Ornaments were quickly picked up, a trash can was brought in and the couple broken ones were thrown away, along with the little pieces of glass.

I am betting right about know you are thinking "why in the world is this post labeled, "I killed the cat"?
Well my trainer's sister's favorite ornament on the tree was a cat. Not just any cat, it was a cute round painted glass ornament shaped as a cat's head, even having ears at the top!
Well that was one of the 3 ornaments I broke- with both ears popping right off. I tried my doggie apology with her, she understood it was just an accident and forgave me.
Our house is Christmas tree empty, and of course less one cat ornament:(

This is the last post I will be doing for 2009- signing 2009 on my blog posts and such. I'm really going to miss the single digit "9" and start getting used to "10".
Before you know it I'll be 10 months! (Jan. 27th...)
I am wishing all of you guys the best New Year, and hope you guys live 2010 to the best as a dog can:)

Though I don't do "resolutions" I do have a couple things I hope to succeed in 2010...
1. Get over 100 followers on my blog (!!)
2. Get over 20 comments on 1+ posts (20 comments from 20 different blogs)
3. Update my blog frequently
4. Obey my trainer and learn as much as possible
5. Become the BEST guide dog I can!

What do you hope to do in 2010?
I hope it's good, and have a PAWSOME NEW YEAR!
