Guess what!

My trainer's Angora goat kidded yesterday(Angora goats have soft curly hair).
The baby was a boy who doesn't yet have a name but my trainer is thinking about naming it Baasudee which is Japanese for Birthday.

We have another goat who is hopefully going to kid tonight.

Puppy meeting-1

Hey guys,

My first puppy training meeting was last night. I had a blast playing with all the dogs and also doing obedience. I am still a young puppy so I didn't do perfect but I am learning quickly. Then they told us to swicth dogs and try to get a dog you have never worked before so I worked with another trainer and my trainer got to work with the Aussie!! His name is Otto he joined our group I think in Nov 07.

It is now time for kidding season, (baby goats!) our first doe has kidded and it is a girl. Since my trainer owns it, she gets to name it, so the cute baby Alpine's name is Elaine. I will put pictures on of more baby goats once they are born.

My toy box is really unusually. Since I grab the basket and eat the handle, I wasn't aloud to have it. So... my toy box is now a large cast iron bowl!

The picture shows what the bowl "toy container" looks like. I am hoping to get a post done with pictures of me meeting the animals soon.

I have now been to my first guide dog field trip!!!
I didn't see any of my siblings there but I still had fun. After our trainer's got tickets we all waited for the train then got on and went downtown, it was really crowded on the train and off since there was a Saint Patrick's parade and the some ball tournament. We went into a kids library and I got to ride the elevator up to see lots of neat books. We walked around for awhile, listened to bagpipes and then a drum corp. Then our trainers ate pizza and we dogs rested. After that we all said goodbyes and went on our own ways after we got off the train again. Hope you like the photos.

My coat they gave my trainer was a coat for a full grown dog not a 10 week old puppy. They said hopefully they will get some puppy coats in this week. So I figured instead of waiting for a small coat I could just find my own.

This picture was taken of me when I was 6 weeks old it was at the guide dog school down in FL. My trainer has already put it in a frame so this is a picture of a picture. I think the purple hair scrunchy is to show I am a girl.

Biltmore

My trainer's family took me to the Biltmore house today. Yes it was a long walk through the house and would really tire out a little puppy like me in just minutes. Well... it didn't because I was carried they WHOLE way though the Biltmore house and even on the "behind the scenes" tour. My trainer has 2 pictures of me there. Hope you like them!

My trainer didn't go down to the school for the guide dog Walk-A-thon because she wasn't aloud to get me from the school or the new puppy since they weren't aloud out from the school till after the Walk-A-thon. Well some other people got some pictures of me.

Hi guys,

My name is Frankie for all that don't know. I was picked up and met my trainer for the first time around 3:00pm today, I went in EarthFare(a grocery store) then to their care group. Now I am home snuggling up in the dog bed. If you heard that my trainer was wanting a original/creative/different name and hopefully some different markings than all the other dogs, well she got the name and I also have ears that look like the tips were dipped in chocolate!!

TRANING!!!

Hey guys,

I just told you a couple days ago that I passed my x rays and am starting my training, well... I am HALF way though my training and doing really good. I keep going faster and faster and passing my siblings. I think I am going to graduate soon!!

Oh and my trainer is picking up the puppy around 2 or 3 tomorrow afternoon instead of the evening. And she just found out she is getting the loudest of the litter!!

My trainer has been getting ready for the new pup, she has gotten the lead, collar, name tag, dog food, and some small chew toys.

My trainer found out that the name is going to be Frankie, yes its a girl and she will be picked up Sunday March 2. If you think about the name it's not that popular and it's kind of different.

New puppy's blog

Which one is it?


My trainer has decided instead of setting up a whole new blog for the puppy, she is going to let the puppy keep my blog going and just name it Brax's and ??? blog.

So make sure you look at the signature to see which dog its from.

Once I find out the puppy's name I will change the blog to both of our names.

PUPPY!!

My trainer's area coordinator, called us on the way down to FL, and said that they have some one month old pups and my trainer can have one!!!! There are 3 yellow girls, 1 black girl, and 1 black boy, they are full blooded Labradors and there moms name is Dotty.

My trainer got to chose what she wanted, and she decided on one of the female yellow ones. They aren't tattooed yet, so the people working there didn't know which was which, they even let my trainer meet them (but since they were only 1 month old she couldn't pet or hold them), if you look in the picture below yo
u can see the 3 cute yellow labs.

Also at the school they had some older pups there that my trainer could play with, so the one of a whole bunch of puppies attacking my trainer is not 1 of the ones she is getting.

She will be getting her new puppy at the Guide Dog Walk-A-thon this year, in March.

Update on my trainer

My trainer went to the orthopedist today and he told her that she can go back to being normal again!! She actually held my lead (while walking with out crutches!) and walked me out of the doctors.

She is going to be able to walk me and hand me off to the trainer at the school.
I am leaving Wednesday and being dropped off Thursday.

My trainer still does not know when she is getting her new dog, (or what breed). But the school is sending a bunch of dogs (including Australian Shepherds) over to TX, and there might be some leftovers. So that means my trainer might get a puppy sooner and they even said it might be a Aussie, they are soo cute and have lots of fuzzy hair!!!
My trainer has gotten all my forms filled out and she is ready to take me when it's time.
I still don't know what to think, do I not want to make it and stay with my trainer, or do I want to be a guide dog?

Never Cry Wolf

My trainer was watching a movie with the family (at home) and it had dogs and wolves in it. (well the name was Never Cry Wolf!)

I heard them barking and howling, and I even watched some of it.



My trainer has been told that she probably won't be getting another puppy for a while, I will let you know if she finds out anymore.

Movies!!!

Hey guys,
If you ever saw one of the posts I did about wishing there was a guide dog movie out on a big screen, guess what me and my trainer's family went to see Alvan & the Chipmunks, and for one part while the chipmunks were in the office coming out of the tree, they ran into a dog! And it was a working German Shepherd with a blind person! Yes it was in the movie not in the movie theater.

So guys make sure to get your trainers to let you go to that movie!!

Moving

Hey guys,
My trainer is switching to the bigger room, so that means I have to stay down stairs so I won't get in their way while they paint. Since my trainer still can't do much, she is trying to keep me busy. I went upstairs for a "little" peak at the room I have been living in for over 15 months. And you know what! It is completely different than it was a couple days ago!!

I still have to wait to see what the new room is going to look like, (who knows they might not get it finished before I go back!). If you look at the photo under my name you can see what I have been doing all these boring hours!!
