The command "go get it". You do a "sit stay", then "okay go get it".

Puppy class 2

Can you believe it has already been 1 month!
Well this puppy class was a little different, after doing some obedience and watching (not chasing) some balls roll by us really fast. We had a contest, there were 2 lines and a water cup in front(10 feet away) and each team had a spoon, well you had to dip your spoon in the water cup right beside you then walk(or if you dare run) to the cup that is 10 feet away and dump the water in. Well it was taking forever, (definitely when some dogs decided to jump up and drink the water), so we stopped and the water wasen't even 3 inches full! But our team had the most water so we won!!! I don't have that many good photos but I at least have a couple.

Hey guys,

Here is a picture of me in harness at the guide dog school(one that is more recent than the ones my trainer has!). It is the only one they will get of me since there are more then 100 other dogs they have there. But if I graduate then my trainer (was trainer) can get some pictures!

My trainer modeled in a fashion show with a shirt her friend made, since her friend had to leave town for a funeral. My trainer decided to take me with her, but when she tried to take me on the lighted runway I got scared and didn't move. I know the garment was judged prior to the show, but I still think that my helping my trainer model the shirt is why it won second!! And the talent show my trainer entered won second to!

4 Months

I have reached 4 months. I was born Dec 18 '07; if I keep growing this fast I will be a working guide dog soon!
Now about my food bowls... they look horrible, someone (without saying names) has been trying to get the bowl out of the holder, so there are teeth marks (doesn't mean it HAD to be a dog's teeth) all over the top of the bowl.

My trainer just got the picture of me with the Easter bunny in March, so now I can post it! since our scanner is not working my trainer got a picture of it so it might be a little bit lopsided.


The fashion show is tonight, that my trainer's sister is entering. So photos will come soon.

Phase Three!!

I am in now in phase three! It is the last phase of training. I will "be exposed to cars coming very close and appearing to run me over (it's a well coordinated exercise between the trainers): Heavy traffic in downtown Tampa. It's the big leagues now, and many dogs will get weeded out in this phase." If I make it, I could be ready for class in another couple of months!!

I went to the YMCA for the H.K.D program. I was there letting kids pet me for 1 hour. I got lots of kids' attention and even some adults'! I had lots of fun and my trainer got some pictures of me and another guide dog, Hannah.

The baby goats #1 and #2 have names now! #1 is being named Peppermint Pattie(Pattie for short), and #2 will be named Milky Way. Thanks everyone for some great name ideas!

I am going on a guide dog field trip this Saturday to the YMCA for the Healthy Kids Day program. I will try to remind my trainer to bring her camera to take pictures.

This is what my chain lead looks like.

I have now started using a chain lead instead of the nylon pink lead I was using.

My trainer keeps saying that I was chewing on my lead, so that is why she has started using the chain lead. She is hoping that since I can't chew through it I won't chew on it at all(like that's going to happen!!).

My trainer took me with her and her family to the Y to go work out. Well my trainer soon got on the treadmill and decided that if I wanted I could join her! Well being the puppy who likes to try new things I jumped on with her and started walking. Then I soon realized that the treadmill was really boring, because it takes you nowhere. But the few minutes I was on it walking my trainer's sister got a video and some pictures. So here is the movie...

My trainer's goat, Trig, kidded at 12:30 today. She had twin girls that look almost the same. They were in the house for a while and I got to play with them. The babies (also known as #1 & #2) still don't have names, so if you have any good ideas for girls leave a comment with your idea.

Angora goat

Guess what!

My trainer's Angora goat kidded yesterday(Angora goats have soft curly hair).
The baby was a boy who doesn't yet have a name but my trainer is thinking about naming it Baasudee which is Japanese for Birthday.

We have another goat who is hopefully going to kid tonight.

Puppy meeting-1

Hey guys,

My first puppy training meeting was last night. I had a blast playing with all the dogs and also doing obedience. I am still a young puppy so I didn't do perfect but I am learning quickly. Then they told us to swicth dogs and try to get a dog you have never worked before so I worked with another trainer and my trainer got to work with the Aussie!! His name is Otto he joined our group I think in Nov 07.

It is now time for kidding season, (baby goats!) our first doe has kidded and it is a girl. Since my trainer owns it, she gets to name it, so the cute baby Alpine's name is Elaine. I will put pictures on of more baby goats once they are born.

My toy box is really unusually. Since I grab the basket and eat the handle, I wasn't aloud to have it. So... my toy box is now a large cast iron bowl!

I have now been to my first guide dog field trip!!!
I didn't see any of my siblings there but I still had fun. After our trainer's got tickets we all waited for the train then got on and went downtown, it was really crowded on the train and off since there was a Saint Patrick's parade and the some ball tournament. We went into a kids library and I got to ride the elevator up to see lots of neat books. We walked around for awhile, listened to bagpipes and then a drum corp. Then our trainers ate pizza and we dogs rested. After that we all said goodbyes and went on our own ways after we got off the train again. Hope you like the photos.

My coat they gave my trainer was a coat for a full grown dog not a 10 week old puppy. They said hopefully they will get some puppy coats in this week. So I figured instead of waiting for a small coat I could just find my own.

My trainer's family took me to the Biltmore house today. Yes it was a long walk through the house and would really tire out a little puppy like me in just minutes. Well... it didn't because I was carried they WHOLE way though the Biltmore house and even on the "behind the scenes" tour. My trainer has 2 pictures of me there. Hope you like them!

Hi guys,

My name is Frankie for all that don't know. I was picked up and met my trainer for the first time around 3:00pm today, I went in EarthFare(a grocery store) then to their care group. Now I am home snuggling up in the dog bed. If you heard that my trainer was wanting a original/creative/different name and hopefully some different markings than all the other dogs, well she got the name and I also have ears that look like the tips were dipped in chocolate!!

TRANING!!!

Hey guys,

I just told you a couple days ago that I passed my x rays and am starting my training, well... I am HALF way though my training and doing really good. I keep going faster and faster and passing my siblings. I think I am going to graduate soon!!

Oh and my trainer is picking up the puppy around 2 or 3 tomorrow afternoon instead of the evening. And she just found out she is getting the loudest of the litter!!
